Oh Bother!

We're back with a new episode all about The Bachelor franchise, featuring a special guest: our friend Kyle, who is a bachelor! This episode also features a weird editing break where we had to excise TWO MINUTES of laughter from Kaycee's baby bother segment. Enjoy!

Oh Bother goes true crime! Kaycee and Kenzie are both big fans of true crime, and in this episode, they each tackle a different murder investigation that bothers them. (Neither of these cases are too graphic, but if you're not a fan of true crime, or if talking about murder upsets you, we totally understand! If you still want to listen to the anti-bother section of the podcast, feel free to skip to the 36 minute mark. That's when we start talking about dogs, professors, and Kaycee's large cat, Obi-Wan!)

Featuring a special guest (our friend Lucy!), this episode tackles a bothersome kind of high school experience: the International Baccalaureate, a program both Lucy and Kenzie were a part of in their formative years. Listen as they tackle the highs and lows of their academic upbringing, while Kaycee discusses her rural (but comparatively less bothersome) high school experience.

Kenzie, Kaycee, and a special guest (our friend and resident plant expert, Olivia), discuss the fact that bananas are on the brink of extinction, and not for the first time. We all like bananas very much, so we are very bothered by the idea that they may not be around forever. What will we put in our smoothies?!

Kenzie and Kaycee both have to wear men's button-down shirts as part of their work uniform, which is how they discovered women's and men's shirts have buttons on opposite sides. Which is quite bothersome! Why is this a thing? Join us as we investigate the history of button-down clothing and hopefully find an answer.

In this extra-long episode, Kenzie and Kaycee discuss the perils of online dating... and by "perils," we're of course referring to "the terrible men who populate apps like Tinder and Bumble." These men are not just our bother, but the world's bother. Enjoy!

Kenzie and Kaycee discuss the film "After," a movie that is both unforgivably terrible and, objectively-speaking, completely riveting. But what else could be expected from a movie based on a YA novel that started as One Direction fan fiction? (Seriously.)

 

Also, quick correction: at one point Kaycee mistakenly references Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows instead of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. She feels terrible about this!!

Avast ye, landlubbers, and brave a podcast setting sail across the seven seas! Kaycee is fascinated with (and extremely bothered by) the history of pirates, whereas Kenzie is just bothered by pirates in general. This week's topic is: self-help books. Kenzie has read many self-help books, and Kaycee has only read one, but we're both equally bothered by books that try to tell us what to do. Because how dare you try to use the written word to improve our lives and self-esteem (especially when the "power of positive thinking" goes completely against our brand)!
